Forever Wolves £16.99 + pp So popular has this book already proved that it is now well into its third print run – and still selling fast. Author David Instone used the Express & Star and Shropshire Star archives, plus the libraries of other newspapers the length and breadth of the country, to come up with a 192-page hard-back containing around 340 exclusive Wolves photographs. Any picture found to have been used in a previous publication about the club was discarded and replaced by one that hadn’t, making this a unique walk through Molineux history. The oldest content dates back to the early 1900s but there is a strong emphasis on the glory days under Stan Cullis, with images aplenty from the era when Wolves jostled so successfully for supremacy of the English game that they won three League Championships and two FA Cups in the space of 12 years. There is also much to pore over in Forever Wolves (£16.99) from the 1960s and the cup-fighting days of the 1970s, with special features on Joe Gardiner, Frank Munro, the late 1980s renaissance and the club’s international stars. It’s a stirring, nostalgic journey….. |
